Aut\u00f2cton<\/strong> is a lifelong project born from the desire to recover, preserve and share the uniqueness of the native grape varieties that we are fortunate to have in Catalonia.<\/p>\n

The project is based exclusively on estate-owned vineyards located across three great wine-growing regions: Baix Pened\u00e8s, DO Montsant and DOQ Priorat.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Through 100% single-varietal wines, we aim to express the character of our old vineyards and show how each grape variety can reflect the uniqueness of its climate, soils, history and cultural heritage.<\/p>\n

Following Aut\u00f2cton Blanc 100% Xarel\u00b7lo and Gran Aut\u00f2cton Negre 100% Sumoll from Baix Pened\u00e8s, the project continues with a new wine that represents the essence of Montsant.<\/p>\n

Aut\u00f2cton Negre Carinyena Montsant<\/strong> is made from 100% Carignan<\/strong>, sourced from vineyards over 45 years old within the 42 hectares of estate-owned vineyards that we cultivate in DO Montsant.<\/p>\n

The vineyards are planted at altitudes ranging from 250 to 400 metres, on poor, calcareous and clay soils. These conditions naturally limit yields, allowing us to produce a wine with depth, freshness and a strong sense of identity.<\/p>\n

The wine is aged for 12 months in 300-litre French oak barrels, between 1 and 4 years old, with the aim of preserving the true character of the Carignan grape and the authentic expression of its terroir.<\/p>\n
